The Cambridge CAP is looking to expand opportunities available to the community by forming athletic clubs. We are currently seeking peoples interested in leading the following clubs:

1. Running Club
2. Road and/or Mountain Biking Club
3. Triathlon Club
4. Ski Club

*Anyone interested in forming one of the above mentioned clubs or an additional club is asked to contact the Activities Office directly at 423-8108. Following the formation of the clubs, further information will be available on our website at www.cambridgecap.net , through the Cambridge News, in upcoming publications/brochures, or by contacting the office.



Spring Masters Swim

Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays, April 6 – June 10
Time: 6:00 a.m. – 6:50 a.m.
Location: CACP
Instructor: Reid Barnes
Fee: $30 R / $42 NR

The spring Masters Swim course will focus on maintenance and technique, and is a perfect time for inexperienced swimmers to join the program. Swimmers need only be able to swim 25 yards of front crawl without stopping to join Masters - all other strokes are taught. We will swim all four strokes (freestyle/front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly). Our workouts easy on the joints, are scaled for different fitness levels and abilities, and provide great exercise for the whole body.

Yoga

Days: Mondays & Wednesdays, on-going
Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: CES Room 126
Instructor: Karen Wissell
Fee: $4 R / $6 NR per class (pay as you go)

Discover a gentle approach to better health by attending yoga. Learn yoga exercises, breathing, visualization, and relaxation techniques and the art of meditation. You are encouraged to wear loose fitting, comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat and water.

Cardio Jam

Dates: Mondays, on-going beginning January 11
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: CES Gymnasium

Fee: $4 R / $6 NR per class (pay as you go) or purchase a 10 punch pass for a discounted rate - $35 R / $50 NR

Cardio Jam is a high-energy, low impact aerobics class incorporating different forms of dance choreography. You will shake and kick your way through this 60 minute exhilarating cardio blast workout! This class is for all fitness levels and dance experience is not necessary. Minimum 3 participants.

Cambridge Jazzercise

The 60-minute Jazzercise class includes a warm-up, high-energy aerobic routines, muscle-toning and cool-down stretch segment. Jazzercise combines elements of dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing to create programs for people of every age and fitness level. Body FIT (Fast Intense Training)

Location: NMS Gymnasium

Body FIT is a no nonsense workout designed for both men & women. Participants will perform high-intensity drills that challenge your inner athlete. In each six-week session we will work with different tools such as Bosu, Medicine, and Fit balls, fitness bands, and jump ropes. Minimum 6 participants.

Sunrise Step-n-Sculpt

Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays

Session II: March 2 – April 15 (no class 3/30, 4/1)

Time: 5:45 a.m. – 6:45 a.m.
Location: CES Gymnasium
Instructor: Kayce Holoubek

Challenge your entire body in this combination class. Step-n-Sculpt offers the best of both worlds; step aerobics for cardio and weight training for strength. Steps will be provided; participants are encouraged to bring an exercise mat and ball, a light set of weights (2-5 pounds), and a water bottle. Minimum 6 participants.

Gut Busters 1700 is designed for MEN who are looking to get back into shape. Get your buddies together and let the challenge begin. This class will use interval, strength, and cardiovascular drills to give your metabolism a boost. Min 6

Basics of Belly Dancing

Location: Professional Building, 101 Main St, Cambridge, Lower level
Instructor: Arielle Juliette

Discover the ancient art of belly dance! In this six week course, we will cover the basic moves of belly dancing, and learn how the music and the movements fit together. This is a low-pressure class that starts at the very beginning; no previous dance experience is necessary. Come share Arielle's passion for the dance; every age, sex, and body type is welcome! Min 9 / Max 15.

CAP Personal Training will provide you with a trainer who has the skills and experience to design an effective, safe and personalized fitness program just for you! You will work one on one with a trainer, who will provide you with continual motivation and instruction on proper cardiovascular, strength and flexibility techniques. Walking for Wellness

Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays

Location: NMS Historical Auditorium
Fee: FREE

Stay active during the cold winter months with this free program. All walkers are asked to check in at the NMS office upon arrival. Walking will be available on all regularly scheduled school days.

Men's Basketball League

Dates: Wednesdays, January 13 – March 17
Location: CHS Large Gymnasium
Team fee: $225 R / $250 NR

Enjoy basketball year round with our indoor men’s basketball league. Team managers need to contact the CAP office for a registration packet. The gym will be open from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6 for teams to get back into the swing of things. Game times and league length will be based on the number of teams registered. Adult Co-ed Volleyball League

Dates: Wednesdays, January 13 – March 17
Location: CHS Small Gymnasium
Team fee: $50 R / $75 NR

Join the fun with our adult coed 6 on 6 volleyball league! Evening games will be played; game times will be based on number of teams in the league. If the league does not have enough teams to run, we will offer an open net at 7:00 p.m. There will be a mandatory managers meeting on Wednesday, January 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the CHS commons. Sand Volleyball League - Lake Ripley Lanes


Come see what the fun is all about! Join the Cambridge CAP and Lake Ripley Lanes for sand volleyball. Different levels of leagues will be offered such as Women’s and Rec, Co-ed Rec, Co-ed 4’s.
