Body FIT (Fast Intense Training)

Days: Mondays & Thursdays

Body FIT is a straightforward workout designed for both men & women. Participants will perform high intensity drills that challenge your inner athlete. In each six-week session we will work with different tools such as Bosu, medicine, and fit balls, fitness bands, and jump ropes. Classes may include water and outdoor workouts. If you’re looking to get healthy and back in shape, Body FIT is for you! Min 8 / Max 20

Beginning Belly Dancing

If you’re looking to learn something new, then this class is for you. Participants will learn basic belly dancing techniques and work towards adding choreography to music. No previous dancing experience is required. Min 8 / Max 12

Yoga

Instructor: Stephanie Shong, Certified Yoga Instructor
Fee: $45 R / $60 NR or $5 R / $6 NR per class

Level I: Come to this class to discover all the wonderful benefits of yoga. You will learn safe alignment in many traditional hatha yoga postures and pre-yoga exercises that will help strengthen postural support muscles, improve balance, release tension and calm the mind. In addition to safe alignment, an emphasis is also placed on working with the breath as we work with each pose.

This class is appropriate for those who are newer (or even brand new) to the practice of yoga. If you have been practicing yoga for less than 6 months, have only done yoga to videos or are looking for an easy, relaxing yoga experience, this class is the one for you. Min 8 / Max 18

Level II: In this class we will deepen our practice and build upon the foundations that were explored in Level 1. We will deepen our practice both physically and energetically through breath and asana (poses). Students who attend this class should have at least 6 months of a regular yoga practice and be comfortable exploring full sun salutations and variations of shoulder stand and headstand. Min 8 / Max 25

Morning Weight Room

Days: Monday, Wednesday, Friday (ongoing by month)
Times: 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Fee: $27 R / $40 NR per month

The Cambridge CAP is offering open weight room to the community. Join us to get your workout in before the day starts. A weight room supervisor will be on site to help answer questions, get you started and ensure a safe workout. We will also open the gym to users for cardio intervals as available. Minimum 10 participants. * Registration is now available online!

Adult Recreation

Location: CHS Gymnasium
Fee: $10 season pass or $3 a day

Looking for a way to get active and have some fun? Join the CAP staff for open recreation. Basketball, volleyball, weight lifting, and walking are just a few of the options you have during adult recreation.

Zumba

Instructor: Jenny Olson, Certified Zumba Instructor

We all wanna have fun-so let’s Zumba! You will experience Latin flavor, simple dance routines along with body toning moves as you groove with the music, based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy to do. Zumba is a feel-happy workout that is great for both your body and your mind. Min 10 / Max 20

CAP Personal Training will provide you with a professional personal trainer who has the skills and qualifications to design an effective, safe and personalized fitness program just for you! You will work one on one with your trainer, who will provide you with continual motivation and instruction on proper cardiovascular, strength and flexibility techniques. Jazzercise

Single or trial class adults $10, students $7 NEW! One week unlimited trial pass: $15 The 60-minute Jazzercise class includes a warmup, high-energy aerobic routines, muscle-toning and cool-down stretch segment. Jazzercise combines elements of dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, kickboxing and more to create programs for people of every age and fitness level. Participants should bring water, a mat for floor work, and weights for toning and strengthening strengthening.

Walking for Wellness

Stay active during the cold winter months. The Walking for Wellness program is free; all walkers are asked to check in at the school office upon arrival. Walking will be available on all regularly scheduled school days.

Crazy Legs CAP Team

Calling all Cambridge area runners!

Join the Cambridge CAP 2012 Crazylegs Classic (8K) team. The 2012 Crazylegs will be held Saturday, April 28. Team registration includes Crazylegs t-shirt and hat. Contact the CAP office for more information on how to join our 5th annual team!

Men's Basketball League

Dates: Wednesdays, January 11 – March 14
Location: CHS Large Gymnasium
Team fee: $300 R / $325 NR

Enjoy basketball year round with our indoor men’s basketball league. League play will begin January 11. Team managers can download a roster from the CAP website. The gym will be open from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4 for teams to get back into the swing of things. Game times and league length will be based on the number of teams registered. Active Adults Open Basketball

Dates: Wednesdays, ongoing

If league play is no longer your idea of fun, check out open basketball! This casual pick-up league changes each week as new players come and go. Come to shoot some hoops and stay for the camaraderie!

Join the fun with our adult coed 4 on 4 volleyball leagues! Whether you are a competitive player or just looking for some fun, we have a league for you. Evening games will be played; game times will be based on number of teams in the league. If the league does not have enough teams to run, we will offer an open net at 7:00 p.m. There will be open net on Wednesday, January 4 from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. For more information, please contact the CAP office at (608) 423-8108.
