First Friends Drop-In Program

Days: Thursdays, ongoing thru May 31 (no class 3/29)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Ages: 3 – 4
Location: CES Family Room
Instructor: Kristin Stockwell, Certified Teacher
Fee: $10 each Thursday
*Registrations due the Tuesday before each Drop – In

Designed to give children an opportunity to explore, invent, discover, create, share, and learn with other children. Every class will be divided into structured and open ended learning while focusing on fun. Free play, circle time, music, art, enrichment, story time, and movement will be incorporated every week in various ways. Children will develop social skills and independence while parents are free to run errands feeling confident their child is in a safe environment. Call the CAP office to register. Min 5 / Max 10

Tot Time Open Gym

Dates: Wednesdays & Fridays
January 4 – March 23
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Location: NMS Historical Auditorium
Fee: FREE

At this drop–in program children and parents will have the opportunity to play in an indoor gymnasium. Participants are encouraged to bring their own balls and toys; limited equipment is available. Please enter the school through the Youth Center entrance. A registration form must be on file for all participants in the event of an emergency. Open to all families!

Start Smart Sports Development

Date: Sundays, January 15 – February 19
Time: 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Ages: 3 – 5 & parent/guardian
Location: CHS Small Gymnasium
Fee: $25 R / $38 NR

Start Smart is a critically acclaimed development program that will help your child get ready for organized sports…and succeed in life. It’s a step by step approach that builds confidence, self esteem, and makes sports fun! Parents work together with children in a supportive environment to learn the basic skills…throwing, catching, kicking and batting for sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball. Min 10 / Max 20

Start Smart Soccer

Dates: Mondays, April 23 – June 4(no class 5/28)
Time: 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Ages: 3 – 5 years & parent/guardian
Location: Ripley Park
Fee: $25 R / $38 NR

Start Smart is a developmentally appropriate introductory soccer program. This program prepares children and their parents for organized soccer in a fun environment without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. Parents work together with children using age appropriate soccer equipment to teach kicking, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins and agility. Min 10 / Max 20

Heart Art

Date: Thursday, February 9
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: CES Family Room
Ages: 2 – 5

Get creative on this beloved holiday! Expressions of love through art, both two and three dimensional pieces, will be created. Come ready to get messy and have fun together. Min 5 / Max 12

Eggtastic Art

Date: Thursday, April 5

Ages: 2 – 5

Eggs provide a perfect shape to get creative with art. Color mixing will also be discussed and explored as we have fun with eggs. Come ready to get messy and have fun together. Min 5 / Max 12
