Bridgette Scott - CAP Executive Director
I began my employment with the Cambridge Community Activities Program in September of 2003. Since then I have had the privilege of overseeing this remarkable program, which has expanded and become a staple in Cambridge. Together our team of three full time employees and over 40 part-time employees offer the Cambridge Community many recreational opportunities. Over the past six years the CAP has grown to encompass all areas of recreation, including: operations of the Cambridge Area Community Pool, Cambridge CAP Youth Center, and in partnership with the Cambridge Foundation, Ripley Park. Additionally, the CAP offers trips, enrichment programs, and athletic programs to participants of all ages. Over the next year, the CAP will continue to grow and will offer a Food Pantry and Resource Center and a State Certified Before and After School Program – CAP C.A.R.E. - to the Cambridge Community. The growth of the CAP and tremendous community support for the program continue to amaze me.I moved to the Cambridge Community in November of 2003 and currently reside here with my husband, Jamey and our Dalmatian, Squirt. My husband’s family has a long legacy of giving back to the Cambridge Community and both he and I believe strongly in community service as well. Jamey is an Assistant Chief on the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department, where he has served the community for the past nine years. Additionally, he has served the community as a volunteer EMT for five years. We love the Cambridge Community and are happy to call it home.
Continuing education is a vital means to stay current on recreation and park trends and is an investment in the future for the Cambridge CAP. I continue to further my education by attending workshops, conferences, and becoming involved in the Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association (WPRA). In February of 2008, I passed my National Certification for Certified Park and Recreation Professional. Also in 2008, I graduated from the Great Lakes Leadership Academy for Leadership Advancement. I continue to stay active in the WPRA, and am currently serving on the 2009 Conference Committee as well as am the Secretary/Treasurer for the Recreation Section Board.
Prior to my job as Executive Director, I completed my degree at UW-Stevens Point, majoring in Health Promotion and Wellness. My background in the health field fuels my passion for recreation and fitness. I believe firmly in the importance of practicing what you preach – I am an avid runner and biker. I enjoy spending time with family, participating in CAP volleyball leagues, and attending sporting events. I hope my enthusiasm is contagious and you will take a moment to browse the CAP website to see what we have to offer you!

Lesli Buehler - CAP Aquatics & Recreation Director
I was delighted when the opportunity came about in April of 2006 for me to return to my home town. As a native of Cambridge, I had always hoped to be able to return and raise my family here. The Cambridge Community Activities Program has given me many opportunities to expand my knowledge and career. My main focus is the daily operations of the Cambridge Area Community Pool but I am also involved in CAP C.A.R.E. and the High School Activities Program. This position allows me to be active with all ages of the Cambridge community.
I completed my Bachelors degree in Health, Human Performance, and Recreation from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. During college I interned at the Janesville YMCA and Prairie Athletic Club in Sun Prairie. These opportunities further developed my interest for fitness and recreation. Post graduation, I worked as a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor in the Illinois area.
I believe in continual education as I am certified as an Aquatic Facility Operator as well as a Certified Park and Recreation Professional through the National Parks and Recreation Association. I am also certified as a Lifeguard Instructor, Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor through the American Red Cross.
I encourage all community members to visit the beautiful Cambridge Area Community Pool and take advantage of all we have to offer through the Cambridge Community Activities Program.

Jody Wilke - CAP Parks, Youth, and Recreation Director
I began working at the Cambridge Youth Center in May of 2004. In January of 2007, CAP began management of the Youth Center and I am amazed by how my position with CAP has expanded since then. My main focus continues to be the Youth Center, but I now also coordinate our Actively Aging programs as well as oversee Ripley Park operations. The Youth Center has come a long way since its inception in 1998, as it currently averages 42 youth per day. The Youth Center now has three staff members who work with the middle school youth everyday after school. The Youth Center programming has also grown over the years and now includes a Youth Council, a Homework Club, monthly dances, and a daily, free healthy snack for all youth who attend.
CAP began programming for the senior citizen population in 2008. Cambridge area residents age 55 or better now have different programs offered to them every Thursday. I enjoy becoming acquainted with our seniors through our card club, luncheons, bingo, movies, Wii games, and more. Seniors can also stay fit with our Active Adults Exercise class and Fit after 50 water aerobics.
This summer is the first season for CAP to manage Ripley Park, which is owned by the Cambridge Foundation. I oversee the daily operations of the park, including the staff. I am looking forward to being at the park this summer and hope the community reaps the benefits of CAP and the Cambridge Foundation working together on this venture.
Please stop into the Youth Center or Ripley Park at any time to find out more about CAP and our offerings.
