Youth Council

The Youth Council is a group of middle school students who dedicate time to help the Youth Center and the community. The Youth Council is involved in planning programs, activities, fundraisers, and trips for the Youth Center, along with volunteering at the Youth Center and in the community. Students who sign up for Youth Council should plan to attend meetings every other Monday at 5:00 p.m. Talk to the Youth Center staff if you are interested in having your child become a Youth Council member, or if you have a community service project idea for the Youth Council to tackle!

Homework Challenge

The Homework Challenge is designed for students who choose to work on their homework while at the Youth Center. Students earn points to attain prizes by reaching each of the four point levels. Points are earned by: beginning homework promptly, working hard, helping others with homework, completing all work, working with the tutor, working on homework on Fridays, and attaining teacher’s proof of completion at school. Every two months the top five Homework Club point earners are also rewarded with a trip of their choice!
