Have you ever wanted a day to just get away and do your own thing? We’re providing the location, you provide the activity. Quilting, scrapbooking, knitting, sewing, crafting, painting, reading, etc. Come for a couple hours, or join us for the whole day. A quiet area with computers will be available if you’d like to get some work or studying done…away from home.

Cell Phone Photography Workshop

Learn how to harness the potential of your camera in your smartphone and gain new skills and appreciation of unique ability to capture the world around you.  We will learn to use editing apps available for download and how to compose appealing images.  Min 10 / Max 15

Self-Publishing Your Photography Book
Date: Tuesday, April 21 & 28, May 5

This course will cover the exciting world of self-publishing!  Both online published Shutterfly and Blurb offer a vast array of options to create your own book filled with your original photographs.  Using these services are free, however there are fess attached to ordering printed copies of your personalize book.    Min 10 / Max 15

Women’s Self Defense Workshop

Date: Saturday, April 25
Time: 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: NMS Historical Gym & Youth Center
Ages: 14 & up
Instructor: Sensei Patricia Bolton, IMOK LLC
Fee: $50 R / $65 NR

Learn to protect yourself during this 6 hour workshop. Self-protection is more than just physical techniques. Protecting yourself comes in many forms. Sensei Patricia Bolton, 3rd Dan, of IMOK, LLC and Shin Gi Tai Wisconsin will guide you through learning not only the physical techniques used to defend yourself if attacked, but also red flag behaviors to watch for, how to use your body’s reaction to danger to your advantage, safety measures to take to help you avoid danger and how to get help if you need it. Appropriate for ages 14 and up. Minimum 8 participants.
