Together, the Cambridge School District and the Cambridge Community Activities Program offer the Blue Jay Backpack program. The goal of this program is to ensure Cambridge students have access to free, healthy food over the weekends. The Blue Jay Backpack is a FREE nutritional meal, packed in a paper bag and sent home with students once a month. Food Pantry Coordinator, Nancy Brattlie, works closely with the school district guidance team to ensure children in need are receiving a paper bag. The paper bags are delivered discretely into lockers or backpacks during the school day to ensure privacy for all students and families.
