CAP C.A.R.E. Staff

Welcome

It is our goal at CAP C.A.R.E. to provide your child with a creative, active, recreational and educational opportunities.  We strive to ensure the complete safety of all our participants not to mention that they have fun!

Please take a moment to get to know each of our staff members.

Mandy Hollis

Center Coordinator

CAP Care Coordinator

Mandy has been with the Cambridge Community Activities Program since 2010 and Lead Teacher with CAP C.A.R.E. since 2014.

Mandy has an Associate of Arts in Early Child Development from Grand Rapids Community College as well as her Program Development Credential in Child Care.

During her free time you will find Mandy spending quality time with her  daughters, Hope and Bella. She is also a volunteer EMT for the Cambridge & Jefferson EMS.

 

Gabby Stachel

Miss Gabby currently lives in Fort Atkinson, and studies Early Childhood Education at Madison Area Technical College. She was introduced to teaching as a Junior in high school when she enrolled in a dual credit program through Waukesha Technical College, and fell in love with the role of a teacher ever since. She loves doing hands on activities like crafts and cooking with the kids here at Cap Care, and cannot wait to see what this school year has in store her! The children love Gabby’s positive attitude and fun energy.

Abbey Stinner

Child Care Co-Teacher


My name is Abbey Stinner and I and from Grayslake, IL. I just finished up my third year at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and I am now a senior. I am majoring in Physical Education with a minor in Health Education as well as Coaching. During my free time, I love to spend time with family and friends especially on the lake when it’s summer!​ I am so excited to be apart of the CAP CARE team and I can’t wait to see what this summer has in store for me in Cambridge.

Jessica Schroeder

Child Care Co-Teacher

Miss Jess is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  She is from Germantown, just north of Milwaukee.  Jess was a business major her freshman year, but after working as a camp counselor this past summer she decided to change her major to Elementary Education, minoring in Mathematics.  Working with kids her first summer changed Jess’s entire perspective of what she wanted to do in her career.  Miss Jess stated “the kids continue to surprise me everyday on the way they think, feel and act.  I like having them keep me on my toes, because then I feel there is something new everyday!”

Brenna Steed

Child Care Assistant Teacher

Hello!  I’m Brenna and I am so excited to be joining the CAP CARE Staff.  I just finished up my junior year at UW-Whitewater as a Public Relations major with a minor in Marketing.  In my free time I like to be with my friends, family, and dogs.  Boating, roller blading, and watching movies are a few of my favorite things to do. I am excited to return to Day Camp for one more summer before starting my senior year at UW-Whitewater!

Jen Martinson

Child Care Assistant Teacher

Hello, I am Jen Martinson. I have lived in Cambridge for 13 years with my husband Phil. I have been familiar with the CAP program since its beginning as my sister was the director of the Youth Center and Senior programs. I needed something new in my life so when I was offered the opportunity to work with CAP, I jumped in! I currently help out with the First Friends program and am an assistant teacher with CAP Care. I love getting to know the kids and learn knew things right along with them. It is also fun to be in the school to see my niece and nephew as they grow. 

Kristin Stockwell

Cap Care Co-Teacher

Miss Kristin has been with the Cambridge Community Activities Program since 2008.  Miss Kristin began teaching the First Friends program which has greatly flourished under her direction. In 2019 the program expanded to offer two additional days of First Friends.   In the fall of 2016, Miss Kristin came on board with Cap Care as a co-teacher primarily during 4k wrap around time and helping us our occasionally after school.

Auggie Hengel

Child Care Co-Teacher

My name is August Hengel. I am going to be a senior at UW Whitewater where I am majoring in Physical Education. I grew up in Columbia Illinois, just outside of St Louis Missouri. I enjoy football, basketball and Lacrosse in my free time. August joined our CAP CARE team in the summer of 2019. We are excited to have August join our team.

Nicole Nichols

Cap Care Co-Teacher

Nicole lives in Sun Prairie with her husband, Jordan and golden retriever, Sophie. She graduated from Saint Louis University in 2016 and currently works as a speech-language pathologist in the schools. Nicole has experience working with children from birth through high school. During her free time, you will find Nicole reading, scrapbooking, or spending time with her family.

Mary Bielefeldt

Administrative Assistant

Miss Mary is the Administrative Aide for CAP CARE, and enjoys working with Miss Mandy and interacting with the staff and the children at CAP CARE!  She has a Bachelor of Science degree in English Writing from Edgewood College in Madison and an Associate’s Degree in Secretarial Science.  Miss Mary also enjoys teaching Water Aerobics at the Cambridge Pool. When she isn’t here, she usually has her nose in a book or is cooking or baking something in her kitchen.
