Executive Director 

General Description:
The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the administration and leadership of the organization. The Executive Director will need to provide the leadership necessary for the organization to maintain the high level of services and
facilities CAP has established while meeting the ongoing needs of the evolving community without sacrificing customer service.

Hours and Dates:
Position is expected to work 40-45 hours, including occasional nights and weekends.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Leisure Services or a related field. Certified Park and Recreation Professional. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in parks and recreation planning and supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the
position. Master’s degree desired.

Compensation:
Salary range $52,000-$62,000 DOQ plus competitive benefits.

CAP CARE Assistant Teacher 

General Description:

Under the supervision of the Child Care Lead Teacher, the Child Care Assistant Teacher shall support daily activities, as well as implementing lesson plans. Job responsibilities will also include checking children in and out of the facility, preparing and assisting with snack times, providing positive direction for activities, communication with parents and staff, and potentially assisting with virtual school. Assistants will be at least a minimum of 18 years old, and be able to work well in a collaborative environment  to provide care for Cambridge students in grades 4K-5th grade.

General Duties:

The following duties are normal for this position.

  • Assist in promoting youth center activities and special events.
  • Maintains a positive and safe atmosphere for all attendees.
  • Will assist with implementing,  and leading program  specific programs i.e. snack program, daily curriculum, and outside activities
  • Will perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties.
  • Works varying hours including possible nights for additional CAP CARE programs
  • Compliance and enforcement of all CAP CARE policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
  • Attends scheduled staff meetings.
  • Performs all other duties as required.


Hours and Dates:

Position is part time / maximum 20 hours a week / between the hours of 6:00 am-6:00 pm

Qualifications:

  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certified
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Registry level preferred
  • Shaken baby syndrome training

Compensation:

  • Starting hourly wage is $9.00 / hour
  • This position is a part time hourly position with the opportunity for higher pay based on the candidate’s education and certifications.

Youth Center Aide 

General Description:

Under the supervision of the Youth Center Director, the Youth Center Aide’s primary function is to assist in the daily operation of the Cambridge Area Youth Center. Aides will be at least a minimum of 18 years old, and be able to work well in a collaborative environment supporting the purpose of the youth center which is to provide a free drop in after school program to Cambridge students in grades 5-8.

General Duties:

The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive; other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Assist in promoting youth center activities and special events.
  • Maintains a positive and safe atmosphere for all attendees.
  • Will design, lead, and program youth center specific programs i.e. snack program, homework club, and youth council.
  • Will perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties.
  • Works varying hours including possible nights to meet the needs of the Youth Center.
  • Compliance and enforcement of all Youth Center policies and procedures.
  • Attends scheduled staff meetings.
  • Performs all other duties as required.


Hours and Dates:

Position is part time / maximum 15 hours a week / evening shifts , 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Qualifications:

  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certified
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Compensation:

  • Starting hourly wage is $12.00 / hour
  • This position is a part time hourly position with the opportunity for additional hours based on the candidate’s experience and certifications.

Cambridge Area Community Pool

Aquatics Intern
