The Cambridge Community Activities Program encourages and promotes life-long wellness by providing a variety of high-quality recreational activities, learning opportunities, aquatics programs and services to the broad Cambridge area community.

Letter from the Director
It was September 2, 2003 and I arrived for my first day of work as the Cambridge Community Activities Director. As I entered the high school building, I was surrounded by countless students, many looking just as lost as I was. I entered my new office to find a desk, a classroom chair, and a rug. No phone, no computer, not even a pen….
As CAP celebrates five years this September, I can’t help but look back and chuckle! To think I was sent home early on my first day of work because nobody knew exactly where or how I should begin. A wise woman told me that I would never again say that I had nothing to do. Boy was she right!
The Cambridge CAP has exploded in the past five years; I attribute this “explosion” to the residents of the Cambridge Community! Your embrace and support of this program has made our success possible. How fortunate we are to live in a supportive community like Cambridge. Please come out this fall and help us celebrate our fifth year by trying a new class, joining us for a trip, or diving into the Cambridge Area Community Pool.
